Meet Andrea, born and raised Texan with a big heart and big voice that cuts through spiritual barriers of darkness and awakens peace and supernatural healing in the hearts of people. From penning pop songs to worship anthems, Andrea manifests joy, love and hope in every song she sings. Her newest music singles include, “Dragon Slayer,””Perfect Father,” and “Built to Last.”

Andrea Thomas Hand is a recording artist, songwriter, speaker, television producer & mental health advocate from Fort Worth, Texas. She is the founder and executive director of Good Seeds Entertainment a non-profit, faith-based media organization that creates uplifting original content curated for disciples of Christ in music, TV and film. She is the creator/producer of “A Sound of Hope” Project, a Good Seeds original series that amplifies hope for mental health within the Christian community.

Andrea is a former background vocalist for country music artist Carrie Underwood & a contestant on NBC's The Voice season 12. She travels between Nashville, TN and Orlando, FL and serves with her husband Joshua at their local house of worship, Nations Church.

EARLY YEARS

Andrea was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in a family of gospel singers. Her grandfather, Jimmy Jones, was inducted into the Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1999. When her grandfather started a TV show on a local Christian network, she sang every week from age eight to sixteen. In 2004, Andrea moved to Nashville, Tennessee with her family to serve as network directors for a Christian music TV network, Gospel Music Television. While working in the entertainment industry for GMT, she attended Belmont University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in the Music Business Program.

MUSIC ALBUMS & MOVIE ROLE

In 2011, Andrea wrote and co-produced her first worship album, Awaken My Soul and following that album she released a Christmas EP titled, A Christmas to Remember. In 2014, Andrea starred as Juliet in the family film, Welcome to Inspiration, which follows the true-to-life story lines of people searching for meaning in the midst of unfulfilled dreams, challenging circumstances and unexpected struggles.

TOURING WITH CARRIE UNDERWOOD

Andrea served as a band member with Carrie Underwood from 2012-2015 throughout the U.S. and Europe performing on The Blown Away Tour, The O2 Arena, The Grand Ole Opry, Global Citizen Festival, The Concert for Valor, TIME 100, Music Awards Shows including the Grammy's, AMA's, CMA's, CMT's and more.

THE VOICE: TEAM BLAKE

In 2016-2017, Andrea was invited to audition for NBC's The Voice in Hollywood, CA and won her way to performing on the show in the country genre on team Blake Shelton. Although she was not the winner of the show, she recalls that what she learned and experienced was a gift in itself. "I've never met more talented and beautiful people in all my life. Every contestant could have won my season, and in my opinion if they made it on that age they already have," says Andrea.

A NEW CHAPTER: GOOD SEEDS ENTERTAINMENT & A SOUND OF HOPE

Andrea is the founder and executive director of Good Seeds Entertainment, a non-profit faith-based media organization that promotes positive cultural change through music, film making, television, social media and the performing arts with hope-tailored content and Christ-centered values.
